To have the following benefits, you must enroll within 31 days of your hire date or wait until the next annual Open Enrollment period:
What happens if you don’t enroll
As a new team member, you must enroll in Gen’s benefits to ensure you receive the coverage that’s right for you and your family.
If you do not enroll (or waive coverage) within 31 days of your hire date, you will automatically receive—and pay any associated cost for—these team member-only benefits (your dependents will not be covered):
- Medical: team member-only coverage in the Cigna Health Savings Account (HSA) plan
- Dental: team member-only coverage in the Delta Dental 1.0 plan
- Vision: team member-only coverage in the VSP 1.0 plan
- Long-term disability: pretax option
- Basic life insurance: 2 times your salary or on-target earnings (OTE)
- Accidental death and dismemberment insurance: 2 times your salary or on-target earnings (OTE)
- 401(k) plan: enrolled with a contribution rate of 7% of your eligible pretax earnings
